1. Dinner at Baccomatto Osteria | Riley St, Surry Hills

Start with the porcetta, finish with the grilled peaches, and have the bombolotti with pork ragu in the middle.

  5. I love summer in Sydney, but I can’t pretend I’m not excited to be going back to New York for a longer stretch next year.

    See you in April NYC.

  6. Breakfast at The Hill Eatery | Campbell Pde, North Bondi

Saturday was the first day of Summer and she kicked herself off with a bang - 37 degrees and humidity so thick you could swim in it. Throw in a hangover and only 5 hours of sleep and you’ve got a recipe for extreme suffering.

The only logical solution was an enormous breakfast plate for two, a flat white or three and throwing ourselves head first into the ocean. There are worse ways to spend a day.

  7. Santa Barbara | Kings Cross, Sydney.

I’m not 100% sure what to think of the ‘US-Asian BBQ’ theme, but the open balcony, over-the-top neon signage and iconic location are enough to make this a summer-time staple.

  8. A warning - I plan on throwing myself into the ocean at least once a week for the next 4 months. Jump off now if you don’t want to come along for the ride.

  9. Spent my Thursday night in an Anglican cathedral listening to Light Giant, Wintercoats & Townhouses and secretly swigging red wine out of water bottles.

  10. Spring this year has been 1 part Fleetwood Mac, 1 part bougainvillea and 2 parts gelato.
