I'm Sophie, but I sometimes go by Sophia. I live in Sydney. I take photos. I like to dance. Say hello: sophie.l.roberts @ gmail.com
The first day back at work after a long weekend is always hard. Easing the pain with a perfectly made flat white at Youeni Foodstore.
Every now and then - if you’re lucky - you get to watch one of your best friends fall in love with someone great, right in front of you. Those are the good nights.
When the ever-lovely (and award winning) Sophie from Stove Top Revolution emailed me to ask if I wanted to be involved in a project she had in mind, I said yes straight away. When she went on to explain her idea - to profile inspiring people in the food industry, to meet them, talk with them, cook with them and share a meal with them - I got excited. This is the kind of thing I live for!
Two weeks ago we spent a Sunday afternoon with the lovely Alice Storey of Gourmet Traveller and Pure Pops fame. She made us a roast pumpkin and goats curd tart with home made puff pastry, and I drooled over the home wares and the jaw dropping view while she and Soph chatted away.
Make your way over to Soph’s site for the rest of the photos, and her (much more eloquent) take on the afternoon. I’m so excited about this guys - I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I ate a lot of porridge this weekend. Broadsheet Sydney
